My life's guidance from a Birch Tree

Uncategorized Jul 25, 2024

As my attention grows during the Botany class on my first year of college, the teacher tells us the story of how he named his first born.
Betula, a beautiful and healthy girl was born after a challenging pregnancy, when her mom pulled from within self all her inner-resilience resources into birthing naturally her expression of a new beginning.

Once I heard the sounds-vibrations of the name Betula, it stuck to me as a talisman representing strength, especially that type of strength, we as human beings, can harvest from within during times of adversity.

At that particular time, I was not yet aware the significance of the Birch Tree (Betula Tree), in my life and in general.

Slowly, as time passed Birch trees started to show up in my life especially during times of major transitions, so I decided to dive deeper into the overall meaning of the 'Birch - Betula Tree'

* Ecologists refer to birch as a pioneer species. In Celtic mythology, birch is also a tree of beginnings and...

A good 'dirty work' as Nature speaks!

Uncategorized Sep 17, 2023

I would guess you agree with me that there are so many ways to connect with the interpretation of our feelings, emotions and perspectives, correct?

As we keep on 'loving up' the Land and preparing it for the upcoming event, the feelings within long hours of sweat, heavy lifting, precision focus, new ways of 'figuring s*** out', discoveries, and a good amount of body-mind-soul motions; narrows down in a mixture of exhaustion, exhilaration, and gratitude for health, support and life.

As Lou and I opened new trails, repurposed the 'down trees' from the last couple of storms, freed space for the ponds to thrive, and a plethora of tasks...insights in life are surely what did not lack!

During one of our 'working the land' days, I received 2 loving hands & one big heart to assist on the flows. And let me tell you, the work is truly a 'dirty' one, meaning, expect to be dirty from toenails to scalp, or vice-versa if you wish.
She comes in early in the...

Buoyance & Lightness

Uncategorized Nov 21, 2022

Many of you might remember those times when you were at the lake, pool or calm ocean and your body asked you to just float, allowing all the body actions to subside and just float in a weightlessness moment of being.
Ah! I totally love that sensation.

Being underwater, and embodying a scuba gear, this sensation is reflected on the connection to buoyance, one of the skills necessary not only to calmly enjoy the underwater views, also to protect the reef and Marinelife.
By being 'in buoyance', you allow your body to find that sweet space of feeling suspended, where gravity, nor your body weight is in competition to the environment.

When there are only the sensations of lightness - weightlessness - and the letting go!!!

How can we translate to our daily living the buoyant feeling, or at least a bit of the joy from those sensations of 'not carrying any weight at all', the allowing of tensions and heaviness to go, and the moment when the experience is pure lightness?

Ah, that is a 10k...

The Lightness in the power of Your Breath

Uncategorized Apr 05, 2021

Since I chose to deepen my understanding, knowledge, and practical transformations through diving deeper into my own breath, and then moving forward into becoming a breathwork facilitator, more and more I got fond of the incredible intrinsic & extrinsic benefits of 'consciously breathing'.

There are a huge amount of techniques in 'Breathwork' and the details of specific techniques, I will leave for a future Blog post.

Today my intention is to share with you 5 beautiful reasons why I support you to experience 'Breathwork'.

1- Reduce anxiety, stress, depression from your body
The reason for this is because deep breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous (brings peace and relaxation) system, which takes us out of fight or flight (actions from the sympathetic nervous system). By activating your parasympathetic nervous system, which slows down your heart rate and lowers your blood pressure, you’re creating a deep feeling of calm and reducing your overall...

White Feather

Uncategorized Nov 02, 2020

She drops like a soft dream through the blue skies, as I look up I see her trajectory as a gentle swing moving with the speed of my thoughts; calm and slow at this very moment.

I don't know who she belongs to; I just know that this elegant white feather brings memories of a time when tickles and giggles were ever present.

I can feel the softness of her; I touch her smoothness onto my bare face.
White feather you bring lightness to my world, to my words, to my being.

My ears remember the sounds from my pen moving carefully over the wide brown paper, as you, white feather danced and ran after every word, one by one, patiently.

White feather you are wise, you carried my memories through the blue skies, memories from my words, my voice, my fantasies, my world.

Rest white feather, rest over this green soft grass, you have danced much through the pages, throughout the stories, the skies, the magic, the possibilities.

Rest dear one. I am grateful for you. Rest now!

Science Says: Being Near The Ocean Changes Your Brain

Uncategorized Oct 02, 2020

Have you ever felt at peace when you’re walking by the ocean?
A sense of rejuvenation when you stand by a waterfall?
How about taking in the view of a breathtaking lake from your window?
We can often report feeling a sense of calm when we’re around water and scientists say, this is having a positive effect on our brains.
So what exactly is happening to our brains when we surround ourselves with water? Well, the calming effect is down to a vacation for our brains from over-stimulation.
Looking at water and listening to its sound puts our overloaded minds into a relaxed and hypnotic-like state with the benefit of this being a different way that our brain processes thoughts, leading to more calm and creative states and an increase our well-being.
Often referred to as blue space, the impact of the sea, rivers, lakes on our happiness and well-being is being researched much more by neuro-scientists and psychologists. Wallace J. Nichols, a marine biologist, has discussed...

A simple view of our magnificent body

"Learning never exhausts the mind" ~ Leonardo da Vinci

Besides many other quotes from the master Leonardo da Vinci, who I personally have an immense admiration, this one above has supported me within many of my endeavors through the highways of learning.

One in particular has been the learning and understanding of the human body, yes the many aspects of it; from the basic and raw anatomy & physiology, to the mental & analytical roller-coasts , emotional & energetic flows, and consciousness & spiritual upgrading(s).

On this Blog today I am focusing on the beautiful rawness of our anatomy, yes our bones and flesh, the magnificent engineering of muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and all the goodies from our flesh in supporting our skeletal structure to come alive, as we dance through life.

In every and each movement we perform, from a quick sneeze to a shalabasana posture - our locust pose during a yoga class (the pose pictured above), the...

The knowledge of the Chakra system is a very vast one and in my personal opinion, an extremely intrinsic, amazing, mysterious and revealing one…

…That is why the Chakra System keeps on fascinating me moment by moment.

Here is a little bit of some aspects of this system for you…

The Chakras of Matter

The first three chakras, starting at the base of the spine are chakras of matter. They are more physical in nature.

First Chakra: The Muladhara is the chakra of stability, security, and our basic needs. It encompasses the first three vertebrae, the bladder, and the colon. When this chakra is open, we feel safe and fearless.

Second Chakra: The Svadhisthana chakra is our creativity and sexual center. It is located above the pubic bone, below the navel, and is responsible for our creative expression.

Third Chakra: The Manipura chakra means lustrous gem and it’s the area from the navel to the breastbone. The third chakra is our source of personal...

Releasing What No Longer Serves
by Tosca Braun

Do you experience “negative, unwanted thoughts” that may hinder your New Year's resolutions?

A new study in the journal, Psychological Science, suggests that writing down such thoughts, and subsequently discarding them, may result in a corresponding mental release. From a yogic perspective, releasing what does not serve invites deeper integrity and alignment with one’s intentions and self.

Spanish high school students participating in an eating disorder prevention class were randomly assigned by researchers to write down either positive or negative thoughts about their body during a three-minute period. Half the students were then asked to contemplate their thoughts and look for spelling mistakes. The other half were instructed to contemplate their thoughts then throw them in the trash can.

For students that kept their thoughts and checked them for mistakes, the positive or negative...
