Since I chose to deepen my understanding, knowledge, and practical transformations through diving deeper into my own breath, and then moving forward into becoming a breathwork facilitator, more and more I got fond of the incredible intrinsic & extrinsic benefits of 'consciously breathing'.
There are a huge amount of techniques in 'Breathwork' and the details of specific techniques, I will leave for a future Blog post.
Today my intention is to share with you 5 beautiful reasons why I support you to experience 'Breathwork'.
1- Reduce anxiety, stress, depression from your body
The reason for this is because deep breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous (brings peace and relaxation) system, which takes us out of fight or flight (actions from the sympathetic nervous system). By activating your parasympathetic nervous system, which slows down your heart rate and lowers your blood pressure, you’re creating a deep feeling of calm and reducing your overall stress and anxiety.
2- You are able to hear your inner voice
In Breathwork all the noise of our minds calms into a place of 'presence within the now' , this way we can hear the inner voices which are ready to be released and transformed into a space of healing. Many questions which perhaps have trouble us in the past, now they start to make sense. A great way to return to your own self.
3- Increase Self-Love, Self-awareness and Joy
By giving yourself the permission to go within, you are enhancing your state of 'self-awareness' and honoring a greater opportunity for 'self-love'. As your body increase oxygenation, eliminates toxins and vibrates a higher state of love, your emotional state releases old wounds, traumas and tensions allowing for the feeling of joy and contentment to be expressed.
4- Enhance the capabilities of your Immune System and overall energy
By improving the oxygen capacity in the blood during breathwork, the overall energy levels and stamina is improved. The body uses this extra energy to boost your immune system, and by doing so, more energy can be also better utilized by the other systems of the body. So better health overall.
5- Gain more clarity and wholeness
When old wounds are healed and the layers of bondage are removed, we can give ourselves permission to approach our lives with renewed and much clearer vision, stepping then into a broader space of wholeness.
