In every walk with Nature, one receives far more than she/he seeks.
SUNDAY OCTOBER 13th 1:00 - 5:00pm
On this afternoon of connection, we will use breath, reflection and gentle movements to focus on our senses as we explore nature and its reflections on our own stories and new stories.
You will be invited to connect to your senses and feel life from many new avenues.
As we move through the practice organized for you - breath, movement & nature connection, you will have the opportunities to express yourself TO yourself!
Our intention is to create a space to interact with nature and then capture your ideas, thoughts and sensations either on paper through doodling, words, poetry or any other faction.
Mandala making will also be a part of our explorations, which is an embodied practice. And combined with writing, doodling or other, is a 'whole' practice, one which begins with the head & heart allowing words and ideas to flow down to the hand which moves the pen, crayons, fingers... expressing YOU.
Wherever you are within your life' story, wherever you have been, your story matters. As you ‘sense’ nature, she invites you to embrace your own present story supporting you to enrich your connections to your 'now' experiences.
Like seeds in the ground, the warmth of our compassion allows us to ground ourselves and to spread our light beyond your physical beingness, like the leaves on a plant in your own garden.
By then, expanding our possibilities of life experiences & growth
We hold the space you care for yourself and reserve this afternoon to learn, grow and expand through Nature, writing & gently moving.
As we will make sure that this sacred afternoon & Nature space will be a blessing to all of you.

Betsy Weems PhD, ryt200:
Betsy came to yoga over 20 years ago as a runner looking for longevity and flexibility. She stayed and, in 2014, became an RYT-200 yoga teacher through Inner Sea Yoga with Lydie Ometto. Since that time, she has taught restorative, flow, prenatal and yoga for athletes.
For over 18 years, Betsy has also been a composition instructor at East Tennessee State University. With the addition of yoga training, she began to explore the intersection of breath and reflective writing with her students. As a Basic Writing instructor, she has come to rely on the use of Contemplative Pedagogies, especially breathwork, freewriting and reflection, to assist her writing students in taking time to think, relieving anxiety and learning to trust themselves as authors. She has completed with 'stars on', this past August, her dissertation for a PhD in Rhetoric and Composition at Old Dominion University.
